Hello 3rd trimester...So glad to see you :) This weeks appointment was a little concerning...it was the glucose test. I have been very nervous about this test from the beginning. Primarily because I feel like I have a black cloud over me at times.
My nurse did her regular blood pressure test & belly measurements. She didn't say anything which she usually doesn't. So in comes another nurse taking my blood pressure again...I began to worry! Then in comes my doctor who keep in mind NEVER touches me...she only asks questions! So she "re-measured" my belly. While making a comment, "I only got 3 weeks not 4" ummm excuse me; what?!! She told me that the baby is measuring 3-4 weeks over. She was
A little concerned because my blood pressure was high (of course it was after drinking the sugary glucose drink), measuring over & swelling in my feet. So she requested an ultrasound to see the baby and check her size. I'm kind of freaking out! I have an ultrasound appointment next Friday...I sure hope everything is ok and she's just long!!
And then the call comes today that I failed the 1 hour glucose test. Maybe the cinnamon buns I had for breakfast the day before wasn't the greatest idea ;) haha! I was 10 points off from the cut off...boo! Wishing, hoping & praying I pass the 3 hour test next week.
In other news I have the greatest people around me!! I had a customer take me shopping last week and bought the stroller/carseat combo and some other things! And just today I received the swing! I am so excited to use these items! Luckily my best friend just had her baby on Tuesday, so I will be able to use them even earlier when sweet baby Grayson comes over to visit!

Is this my life....Pinch me!!!
Quick update:
Things are going well! Just nesting like crazy...trying to get it all done. The room is almost there!
My next drs appt is June 11th (7 months) which will Include my glucose test...kinda nervous!! Crossing my fingers that I'll pass.
She's moving a lot lately...enough for
Others to actually feel her :-) She responds to my husbands voice...it's kinda cute since he's gone all week and then he comes home and she still knows her daddy's voice!
Super excited for my upcoming baby shower...sometimes I feel like it is all a dream!
My friend Nicole is due any day; can't wait to hold a little one!

Time flies
I can't believe that I'm 21 weeks!!! Ever since the 2nd trimester has begun it seems time has flown by! I have been trying to enjoy every part of this pregnancy, but I must admit I can't wait to meet our little lady!!
I have been feeling great, tons of energy even with the little sleep I get a night! It's been a hard adjustment sleeping on my sides and not being allowed to sleep on my back, although sometimes I wake up on my back and realize that I slept GREAT!!
I finished the painting the nursery! That was quite an adventure! I wanted to make sure everything was absolutely perfect which is why it took me so long! But I love it! Now we just have to fill it up with the accessories! I ordered the light fixture to give it the "pop" of pink which added so much to the room (pic below). So stay tuned for the final product in the next month or two!
Last weekend we ventured out to do our registry since people were asking where we were registered already! So we figured why not just knock that out too! What an interesting adventure that was...my husband was in charge of the scan gun, which was like giving a kid a toy! He wanted to scan & play with everything! All in all it was a success...it's all finished!
Now we just have to find the pediatrician, sign up for our classes & enjoy these last few months!
She has been kicking/moving up a storm which is the coolest most weirdest feeling! I can't wait for her movement to get strong enough for my husband to feel her!
The biggest problem I have been having is numbing in my hands, especially my right...even as I type this it's going numb :( kinda makes it difficult for work since I use the computer all day! Owell! Other than that no complaints here!

19 week ultrasound
I can't believe how time has flown by!! Almost Half way there...yahoo!!!
Today we had our 19 week ultrasound at the high risk doctor since we were currently going there for the genetic testing. They did a whole lot
Of measuring...she was cooperative for the most part until the end when the tech went to measure her head. She had her head arched way back, so the tech had to do a lot of poking & prodding on my belly which was a little uncomfortable ;-) The doctor came in and reviewed the measurements & pics and everything looks perfect! Which was a HUGE relief! She did mention the baby is 10 ounces, which is an ounce larger for 19 weeks; 80th percentile! Basically she is not going to be a small baby, which I kinda already guessed ;) lol!
Just last week I started feeling her move which has been the best feeling in the entire world! I can't wait to

It's a...
Yesterday I was talking to a customer of mine who recently went to a local 3D/4D ultrasound facility...of course I have been super curious as to what our little ones sex would be so I signed up right away for a 3D ultrasound!!!
Since my husband hasn't seen any really good ultrasounds throughout the pregnancy I was so excited for him to go & it was my moms birthday the other day so I figured it would be a great present for her too!
The appointment was this morning (15 weeks 2 days). What an absolutely amazing experience! All along I have been hoping for a little boy first; no real reason...well maybe I didn't want payback! Instead of getting what I wanted we have been blessed with a little GIRL!!!! I am truly grateful for this little one!
She was moving, bouncing, turning & smiling throughout the ultrasound! It was wonderful to see my husband & moms reaction! Priceless!
We also got a lot images on cd and a video!!! I can't wait to show her one day what she looked like inside the womb!
Now let the nursery decorating begin! I can't wait to purchase the 1st pink
Item for her!

Catching up
Where to begin...
*Let me just say its been a long 8 weeks without my husband being home & partaking in any baby doctors appointments! I had my 13 week check up the other day; I was spotting for a couple days last week which sent me into panic-bitch mode immediately! Here I am nearing the end of the 1st trimester and I automatically freak that I'm miscarrying! Whelp it was a beautiful sound to hear the little ones heart beat...160 bpm! I then asked when my next ultrasound would be and she informed me that it would be a long while, since I somehow signed up for the integrated NT scan so I would get my 2nd ultrasound at that appt on April 11th & of course I immediately was sadden that my husband would start working in April and miss yet another ultrasound/baby appt :( She thankfully felt sorry for me and gave me a script to another fetal doctor in the hospital to have an ultrasound!!!! Yay!! So it is scheduled for March 6th!!!
*I'm and official owner of maternity clothes...it was so much fun shopping this weekend for some items!
*A sweet friend of mine that I used to babysit for has been saving her daughters crib for me for years...so I finally have a crib in MY HOUSE!!!!! She also is giving me a glider chair and some other fabulous stuff! Another dear friend let me borrow her little girls dresser! Now we just need to find out this baby's sex to get the room really rolling :-) I can actually say that I never thought I would have a nursery in my house!
*Cooper, our 1st born announced to the Facebook world that he was going to be a big brother! The warm wishes were so nice to hear!
I'll leave you with a couple photos!

Bump photos
So far I have only gained 2-3 lbs...it's probably all Girl Scout cookies ;)
My weight seems to be distributing itself to my "lovely love handles" (as you can see the progression) and as my mom put it,
"you are carrying the baby in your belly & back" def not what I wanted to hear! Although I am enjoying that I'm finally getting some "junk" in my trunk...hehe!
This upcoming week for my 30th birthday (12 weeks) I will be announcing our pregnancy to the world! I have been waiting for this day FOREVER!!!!
5 Weeks
9 Weeks
I was soooo excited getting dressed for a walk yesterday and
actually seeing a bump while dressed!!!

Baby Jumping Bean
Today was my 11 week ultrasound. We no longer have a baby manatee...I can't believe what a difference 2 weeks makes in the changes of a baby!! What an awesome ultrasound this was. I got larger/clearer pics & a cd that I will bring back for the next ultrasound that they will upload more onto!
Heart beat was 170. Measuring 2 inches long (CRL).
The baby (I'm calling it a HE!) was just waking up with his hand at his face and moving it all around his face, his legs were straight up, which was super cute (long legs like his daddy!) his feet were together (will upload pic) he was a little jumping bean and busy body...maybe it was the half calf coffee I had prior to getting there LOL!
Everything looked great, they did the fluid measurements for down syndrome which is the reason I had an appointment at this particular doctors. I also had bloodwork done, which I will have to wait a few weeks for the results.
I can't wait for the next ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby!

Looks like we are having a baby manatee...
9 week check up at my regular obgyn was so much nicer! Large tv to view the ultrasound on was a bonus :-) The tech let me take a video of the ultrasound image afterwards that showed the heart beat (which I will upload separately)!! This was great bc I was able to send it to my husband who hasn't been able to be apart of any doctors appts thus far. She said everything looks text book, which was a great feeling!
This ultrasound image looks like a baby manatee :-) lol!!
Next check up in 4 weeks...which is going to feel like forever!

Baby Blob
We've made it to 8 weeks today!! My ultrasound appt the other day was kind of disappointing; Nicole went with me since my husband hasn't been able to make it to the appointments since he is out of town, it was nice to have someone there who is going through pregnancy also so she knows what to
expect from an ultrasound and she was pretty surprised how fast it was done (not in a good way). My doctor wasn't in his usual spunky mood...which made for an awkward situation. I ended up with a super zoomed pic of the baby blob!
I got to hear the heart beat which was music to my ears! The heart beat was 153!
The nurses were soooo sweet! I received warm hugs and a ton of congrats which made it feel very real!!
I have officially been released to my OBGYN!!! What a landmark!! My 1st appt with them is next Tuesday the 31st! I will continue to go to my ivf clinic for the next few weeks to have my bloodwork done.
Weening of the estrogen patches and progesterone shots will begin February 14th (11weeks) and I will officially be 12 weeks on my 30th birthday...what a great birthday it will be :-)
This weeks stats were:
E2: 1231
P4: 33.7 (back on progesterone shots)

It's always something...
Since we started our IVF adventure I for some reason feel like I cannot be 100% comfortable with each positive situation that comes my way. Maybe it's because we have struggled with infertility for so long.
All I want it to be sooooo excited for this joyous pregnancy without having a negative thought lingering in my head. I'm sure these feelings are normal, but I want to be ecstatic that I'm FINALLY pregnant :-)
Here's a journey through my negative thoughts (keep in mind I'm always the person who likes to foresee what will happen in all cases, which is construed as negative):
*About a week after my transfer I said that I didn't feel I was prego because I was reading into the non-symptoms that weren't there...of course they weren't bc it was way too early.
*I took 4 pregnancy tests and you could clearly see the line getting darker...well I wasn't going to believe it until the 1st Beta.
*1st Beta was positive as I clearly knew from the pregnancy tests...so I wasn't going to be comfortable until the 2nd Beta.
*2nd Beta results were great considering I had to wait 5 days because they were closed for the holiday...then I started doubting the pregnancy until the 1st ultrasound.
*Then the spotting began and I just knew that it was over...I was devastated & begged to come in for an early ultrasound.
*Early 1st ultrasound...everything was looking great as per my doctor; we could see the heart flicker, we could see a baby (which I of course believed the sac would be empty because I still haven't had any symptoms).
*So here I sit waiting for the 2nd ultrasound to give more hope/insight and waiting for the 1st trimester to be over...when will it stop! I just want to be 100% happy that I'm FINALLY PREGNANT...ME!!!!
So here I vow today to stop with all of the negative thoughts that swirl around in my head and embrace this moment with me and my baby to know that this little nugget is a fighter and we shall meet in 33 weeks or so :-)

From tampons to panty liners
I always dreamed of the day that I would no longer have to purchase or wear tampons. Well instead my life has been thrown a new curve ball...panty liners and granny panties...oh my!
I thoroughly enjoy walking by the tampon aisle giving it the bird! Every month that would pass as an infertile I would pray not to have to buy any but that of course never happened!
I must say the panty liner situation isn't fun AT ALL, but I'll take one for Team Baby! Second thought I can't handle the spotting anymore...back to the PIO shots I go!!! I'm a hot mess with the spotting; it has me extremely anxious & stressed at all times!

Ultrasound update & 6 week pic
Well my bitchiness got my ultrasound
Bumped up earlier ;-) lol!! I started spotting again on Sunday and of course started freaking myself out...so I emailed my nurse that afternoon which I knew she would get Monday...she didn't call that morning so I called and left a message...still no call back...then I called the front desk & they said she was super busy (Monday) that she would call me at the end of the day...whelp no call :(
I called again this morning bitching & told her I needed a piece of mind and wanted to see if I could get in sooner for an ultrasound...hehe!! So the doctor is squeezing me in tomorrow at 2!! I am super anxious to see what ting ting and ping ping are up to.
I am feeling bloated, not sure if the bump is growing from the baby(ies) or the lunch I had!

Shopping day!!
My friend, Nicole and I did some shopping today! It's amazing to see how many bathroom stops two pregnant girls can make ;-) lol!!
First we made our way to a home goods store, which wasn't as fun as the next stop! Finally we made our way over to Babies R Us...of course we probably shouldn't of parked in the expectant mothers parking, but I felt entitled to ;0)
She is almost 5 months and really hasn't been sleeping well, so she wanted to purchase the mommy body pillow which looks quite cozy!! As we made our way thru the store we tried out a few glider chairs & looked at the most adorable stuff!!!
I found the one item that NO ONE is ever allowed to buy my children...GIANT STUFFED ANIMALS!!!!! So fair warning to my friends & family: don't get ur feelings hurt when it's donated to the Goodwill because they are not welcome into this house!!!!
I'll leave you with a couple pics from our day!!
Btw is it Tuesday the 17th yet?! Hurry up ultrasound!!!! I want to see my babies!!

Updated TSH
I am so excited to say that the tests results on my thyroid the other day was a lab error/machine fluke!!!
My nurse had called me back that evening and told me that she thought everyone's #'s from that day were coming in a little higher, so she had the lab recalibrate the machine and re-run the betas. She said that everyone's betas came in lower (heart attack) except mine...mine went from 2231 to 2286!!! Wheeee!
The next day they were also going to re-check the thyroid (TSH) to see if that was actually correct before increasing my meds. Of course they couldn't get enough serum from what was left over, so I went in yesterday afternoon and just got the results back that they are normal...YAY!! I still have to take the 25 mg of the thyroid medicine I am already on, but I'm super happy that my levels were elevated!
Have a great weekend!!
P.S. is it the 17th yet....I'm so ready to see my baby(ies)!!!!

Let the pics begin!
I have decided that I wanted to begin the belly shots...and watch the progression :-) I have always had a "pooch" and a flat ass ;-) so it will be interesting to watch it/them grow! Lol!! And honestly I didn't gain a lot of weight throughout the IVF process, which was nice to not feel bloated all the time!
So without further ado here is Week 5!

Well well well...
We are still pregnant!!! Yay!! Talk about having a minor heart attack today...I went in for my 2nd beta @ 8:30...usually my nurse is awesome and calls within 2 hours or so. Not so much today :-( I even called her and left a message! She finally called and said that my thyroid was elevated even w the meds I am already taking...so she needed to have the doctor review the bloodwork; now I am to increase the dosage and Repeat that bloodwork in 4 weeks.
Stats:
Beta: 2286
Estrogen: 585
Progesterone: 28.9
I will have to go every week for
Bloodwork and my ultrasound will be in 2 weeks (7 weeks pregnant)!!! Can't wait to see how many babies :-)

Bittersweet
Happy New Year to everyone!!!
Finally a new year with great things happening! Of course this new year is already bringing bittersweet feelings...today my husband leaves for training for 5 weeks...and I have to work, so I won't be able to drop him off at the airport (which is probably best...cue tears).
Tomorrow I will be 5 weeks, so I told him every Tuesday he can just add another week...which unfortunately means he will miss most of the 1st trimester :( He won't be around for the 1st ultrasound to see how many babies...which I was totally freaking him out with last night telling him how the eggs could split and we could end up with four (I hope not, but LOL!!) And to see the heartbeat(s); thank goodness for Iphones with video and super cameras!!!
I am anxious and excited about tomorrow's bloodwork #'s. I am hoping and praying that everything is exactly where they want to see it at.
We started moving some bedrooms around yesterday. It was fun to see where we think the babies room will end up...depending on the # of babies of course ;-)
All in all things are progressing along! I will catch back up tomorrow once the bloodwork comes in.
